BSHS Prefects 1984

We have enjoyed our year as Prefects of Bunbury Senior High School as it has been a most eventful and interesting time.

We began by organizing socials which became a major part of our duties as they helped raise money for the School Ball and entertainment for the students.

We ventured to Boyup Brook at the start of '84 for the Prefects' Camp which was important in helping us establish a plan for the year's events. It was a good opportunity to discuss ideas with student councillors from other schools and also have fun.

Thoughout the year we participated in community work such as door knock appeals and the Anzac ceremony.

Second term was devoted to the organization of the School Ball which required a large amount of work. Thanks go to the Art Department and to the students who helped us with the excellent decorating of the hall. Hopefully all those who attended enjoyed themselves. A social was also held during this term and the proceeds of over $400 was donated to Country Week.

Money was spent on a table tennis set for use by the students and arrangements made for the painting of the school benches. A new Bunbury Senior High School banner was purchased for the school. We also decided to buy a cassette/radio and P.A. system for the school bus which was installed to hopefully make the frequent bus trips more enjoyable for all students.

A very special thank you goes to Mr. Dymock, Mr. Oates and Miss Bolt for their help and guidance throughout the year. It was an extremely rewarding time for all of us and we wish the new Prefects for 1985 the best of luck.
