Whether it was money laundering, corruption (and we DID pay for our jumpers) organizing school social events or simply just being popular, the 1993 prefects did it well. In fact things went so well that two prefects decided "Hey, this is too much fun. There must be a catch. I'm leaving!" And leave they did. Yet, when they left, we all knew that we would never forget Carla "The Pom" Martella and Michelle "I'm leaving" Thompson.
Yes, their presence at our weekly meetings was definitely missed as we were solemnly left to fend for ourselves in a school that does not take kindly to bad prefectship but we struggled on and behind the facade of fun was pure hard work, co-operation and organization that bought the students of B.S.H.S. a perfect blend of socials, sporting events clothing attire, balls and assemblies.
And, for those who are unsure (??????!!!!!) of who we are, well... Carla "The Pom" Martella - Head Girl Conrad "Put that bloody football down" Marais - Head Boy Ruben "Allan Wherret" Durr Wade "Can't come, I've got basketball " Bennett Joanne "The quiet contributor" Collins Natasha "Where's the Key" Latham James "What ball party" Lee Tanya "I'll be there at 9" Nicholson Michelle "I'm leaving" Thompson David "There's nothing wrong with VW's" Haoust Oh, yeah and then there was Peter "The Heartbreak Kid "Rudrum, the ever present Y.E.O. who was always there to help us through the mini crises we endured. We salute the man. The 1993 Prefects P.S. We never did get to thank Tanya officially for her work at the ball - now it's official. P.P.S. Good luck 1994 Prefects. P.P.P.S. You'll need it!
