TOOL: DOUBLE CREASER, LIPFERT FAMILY
Implement with an axe-shaped head with two crease blades at the tip of a gently curved shank. This tool produces two parallel lines at a fixed distance apart and is used for all kinds of decoration on leather articles. The head is stamped '1' [probably its size] and its shank 'Dixon and Sons'. It is set in a dark brown wooden handle and secured with twine wound around. Probably used by the Otto Lipfert who did leatherwork in his spare time. Found at the Lipfert home at 270 York Street
