TOOL: HOMEMADE STAMP, LIPFERT FAMILY
A tool made by driving a nail into a bulbous wooden handle and clamping it tight with a metal collar. When the top of the handle was tappesd the nail head stamped circular indentations into leather to form a pattern.
The tool was presumably made by Otto Lipfert who enjoyed leatherworking as one of his hobbies. From the Lipfert home at 270 York Street,Subiaco. W,.A.
