TOOL: DOUBLE CREASER, LIPFERT FAMILY
Implement with an axe-shaped head with two crease blades at the tip of a gently curved shank. 'L' ? and 'Dix and & Sons' are stamped on its head and shank respectively. The gently curved shank is set into a light brown turned wooden handle and secured by means of a brass collar. The handle is cracked right through its length and has been repaired by means of a nail driven through its bulbous top. Probably used by the Otto Lipfert who did leatherwork in his spare time. Found at the Lipfert home at 270 York Street.
