POSTCARD: SUBIACO WAR MEMORIAL UNDER CONSTRUCTION
1923Sepia postcard which features a photograph of the Subiaco War Memorial under construction. The tower has reached the level of the keyhole window. It is covered in scaffolding on which four workmen and the builder, Sedgley, (top centre) are standing. Two ladders lean against the tower and bricks are stacked at its base. There is a corrugated iron fence in the left foreground. This photograph must have been taken towards the end of 1923, since the Memorial was unveiled on 25 November 1923. The photographer was C.F.
