GENERAL EMBROIDERY, RUNNER

Hand spun, hand woven Turkish runner, with contemporary Turkish stitches, The ecru runner is traditional fabric 19 threads to the inch and 36 cms wide.

Around the perimeter is embroidered an abstract design of pairs of stylised flowers in Double Saw Tooth stitch and stems in DOG TOOTH STITCH in soft muted shades of pink, mauve and beige with green stems.
The repeating symmetrical pattern is broken with scrolling line in dark grey thread.
Fine rolled hem at each end and selvages at each side.
