MACHINE CROCHET, RUNNER
This runner, machine embroidery, is an excellent example of machines emulating hand crochet.
Pineapple design, the runner consists of 18 squares, connected in 2 rows of 9 and surrounded with scalloped edge.
Each square 90 x 70 mm.
Machine-made by a friend, using a pattern downloaded from internet onto her computerised sewing machine. The pattern was stitched on a special fabric (xylem?) and when completed, it is washed and the fabric dissolved leaving just the pattern.
