HUNGARIAN, RUNNER
Attractive hand embroidered table runner in traditional Hungarian floral design from the Kalocsa region, stitched latter half of 20th century.
The embroidery down the centre of the runner has an unusual colour combination - the five floral motifs worked in black, green, rust and blue using stem and satin stitch. This is worked on a cream poly/ cotton edged in black crochet.
