TOOL, PUNCH NEEDLE
A very old brass embroidery punch needle with the word 'DAISY' engraved on each side. Was used for plush fabric work, using wool or other threads. Copyrighted in 1893 in Victoria.
Tool consists four three parts - (a) central cylinder surrounded by (b) brass metal casing secrewed to cylinder, © metal wire operating handle and (d) metal needle. Tool in a cardboard box with set of instructions for use.
Top of box has printing but much worn away.
