Maida Winsome Sharkey
c. 1926Head and shoulders portrait of Maida Sharkey. Her hair is parted and drawn into a plaited coil over her ear. The scooped neckline of her outfit is decorated with beaded scrolls. The background is softly shaded.
The print is mounted on heavy, bevelled card. It is protected by embossed tissue and enclosed in a light card folder.
Maida Winsome Sharkey (1905-1997) was the daughter of Raymond and Florence Edith Sharkey.
Lived at 'Wainomi', 3 Victoria Avenue, Claremont.
Attended Methodist Ladies College, Claremont
Married Percy John Lefroy in 1932. The couple lived in Merredin and then moved to Reserve Street, Claremont in 1938.

Raymond John Sharkey an architect, surveyor and amateur photographer was born in 1868 in New South Wales. Raymond was a Claremont resident when he died at an early age.
