Studio portrait of the three Sharkey girls (Peggy, Jo and Maida) mounted on fawn cabinet card. Maida, barefooted and dressed in light dress with frills, is seated on the end of a stone seat. Jo, with a large bow in her long hair and wearing a light dress, long socks and dark shoes is standing next to her. Peggy, similarly dressed, is on the right.

Historical information

Maida Winsome, Marie Ray (Peggy) and Edith Josephine (Jo) were the female children of Florence Edith and Raymond John Sharkey. They lived at 5 Victoria Avenue, Claremont.

Australian social history from the collection of photographs and albums donated to the museum by Raymond Sharkey's family.

Raymond John Sharkey an architect, surveyor and amateur photographer was born in 1868 in New South Wales. Raymond was a Claremont resident when he died at an early age.
