The fence, arch and entrance to the house are covered in flowering plants and a bicycle is propped by the fence. The house is corrugated iron with a decorated barge board and sash windows. Edith Florence Sharkey married Raymond Sharkey at Christchurch, Hawthorn in Melbourne in 1899. Lived at Esperance while Raymond worked in the Esperance area. Later lived at 3 Victoria Avenue (Wainomi) and had four children Josephine, Peggy, Maida and Bruce. She is the daughter of Captain Henry Nathaniel Ray and Maria Ray nee Le Plastrier whose family came from Rouen in France.
