MACHINE EMBROIDERY, HANDKERCHIEF
Overview
Accepted as example of boxed gift set of 6 embroidered handkerchiefs, c. 1930.
Embroidered with floral sprig motifs and drawn thread and hem stitched. All carefully arranged into flower shape held together with ribbon and label.
The circular box has a pansy motif in colours of brown and mustard. It is stained, faded and very acidic.
To be stored sealed in mylar envelope.
