Overview

A large cotton handkerchief edged with wide Irish crochet border. Unusual size and elaborate edging would

suggest it was made for a special occasion, however it has clearly been used and washed many times.

Edging is repeated motifs of small flowers and shell-like scallops Small embroidered initial in one corner, possibly ‘C’.
