DRAWN THREAD, SAMPLER
1981As part of her teaching certificate with the Embroiderers’ Guild of WA, Doris in 2000-2001 completed an embroidered Drawn Thread Proficiency Certificate – Advanced Level. One part of the Certificate is this folio of information on the technique with 18 exquisitely worked samples, beautifully laid out, mounted and clearly labelled. There are three folders, A, B and C.

C. Pages 107-140 Information on the major pieces stitched for the certificate - designs, beautifully stitched practice samples.
The Collection has one of Doris’ major pieces #2023.63 and also a display board of samples #2021.77.
