PHOTOGRAPH: HAY STREET SUBIACO C.1940
c. 1940The black and white photo shows motor vehicles parked along both sides of Hay Street and a tram travelling west, away from the camera. The verandahs of the shops extend over the pavement, with wooden posts supporting them.
On the left-hand side is a sign for 'Prosser Sco and & Co., Undertakers' next door to 'Sagar's Motor Hospital'. Between the two shops a sign on a telegraph pole reads 'Wait here for trams'.
Two men can be seen standing on the pavement between a parked and r & the moving tram. The Subiaco Hotel spire is visible further down the road.
