PHOTOGRAPH: DOYLE COURT BUILDING ROKEBY ROAD

1985
Subcollections
Overview

The photograph features the Doyle Court Building on the corner of Rokeby and Bagot Roads, Subiaco looking north.
There are several shops on the lower level, and offices above. The upper level facing Rokeby Road is composed of a series of arches . The verandah is partly enclosed with cast-iron lace.
The roof features a decorative balustrade and three flower-garlands on those sections above the centre arches.
The words 'Doyle Court' appear under the garlands at the front and again at the side.
The windows and doors of the shops facing onto Bagot Road are shaded by canvas awnings. There is a group of pedestrians on the corner and a lady crossing at the traffic lights.
