PHOTOGRAPH: THE GAVAN DUFFY'S HOUSE, 11 HEYTESBURY ROAD, SUBIACO
The photograph features a brick and iron home called 'Maluka'.
The house has a large verandah on two sites. It features a plain wooden border and is supported by simply carved wooden posts and contrasting brackets. It is half-enclosed with wooden sticks arranged vertically.
There is a room at the extreme right of the verandah with louvered windows. There is a gable at the left and another can be seen behind a chimney at the right. The chimney pots feature carved detail.
The garden is enclosed with a trim, dense hedge and a picket fence on the left.
Printed on the back '11 Heytesbury Road - home of the Gavin Duffy family.
