Overview

24 Heytesbury Road - home of Doctor and Mrs Hester.
A brick and iron roof house with a wrap-around bull-nosed verandah front and right of house. The verandah is supported by white pillars resting on concrete bases, connected by a wall.
There are two decorative gables with a carved, wooden beam at the apex.
There is a low brick fence with brick letterbox at the corner. Shrubs and trees hide the house from the street.

Historical information

No 75 Heytesbury Road was owned and built by Mr David Kennedy in 1904. The Kennedy family took in boarders. His daughter Miss Kennedy lived in the house until about 1971. The house had been extensively renovated in the '30s being cement rendered and the addition of the French doors at the front. In 1976 there was a brick addition to the back of the property and extensive internal alterations. The house was demolished in March/April 2005.
