BSHS Prefects 1965

Socially, 1965 was a very successful year for the prefects. The various school socials were well attended and enjoyable.

This year, the prefects broke away from the custom of holding all socials on school premises. The R.S.L. hall and the Rowing Club hall were utilised for successful social functions.

The School Ball was held in the Southway Hall, and was a success, due mainly to the efforts of Mr. Rendell and the Canteen Committee, who were responsible for the organisation behind the ball.

The prefects would like to thank both Mr. Rendell and the Canteen Committee for the time and effort which was put into the organisation and running of the ball.

A “pre’s tea” was held at the end of first term in the staff room, the meal being prepared by the girl prefects. A record player and records finished off the evening.

We would like to wish all Junior and Leaving Certificates candidates success in the coming exams, and success to next year’s prefects, who we hope will make an improvement on this year’s batch.
