BHS Girls Hockey First XI 1928

The hockey eleven has also had a busy season. For several months, two matches weekly were played against the ex students, and several against the Bunbury Hockey Club, most of which were won by the school. At the end of the second term we had a visit from a Busselton team, which was defeated. Then followed the visit to Perth and three splendid matches, when the team defeated Albany High School and Eastern Goldfields High School and drew with Northam High School. On the first show holiday a return visit was paid to Busselton, when we suffered defeat after a hard match, the scores being 7-5. On the whole, the team has had a most successful record, and as most of its members are leaving, there will be a great chance next year for the younger players to qualify and uphold the reputation won this year.
