Most of the group are dressed in three piece suits, shirts and ties. The member in front left, is in shirt sleeves, trousers rolled, barefooted and is wearing a wide-brimmed hat and clutching binoculars. The member back right, has a bushy beard, an eye patch and is wearing an open necked shirt.

Raymond John Sharkey an architect, surveyor and amateur photographer was born in 1868 in New South Wales. Raymond was a Claremont resident when he died at an early age.
