Bruce Sharkey

Raymond John Bruce (Bruce) Sharkey, born on the 21st May 1911, was the son of Raymond and Florence Edith Sharkey.
Attended Scotch College. Keen sailor like his father. According to the book 'Red Tail Skies', Bruce worked for Qantas prior to his enlistment in the RAAF on the 31st March 1941.
Sergeant Raymond Sharkey [Service No 402551] was one of six Australians from the 460 Squadron RAAF who died when their Wellington vanished over the North Sea during a mining operation on the night of 12/13 July 1942

Raymond John Sharkey an architect, surveyor and amateur photographer was born in 1868 in New South Wales. Raymond was a Claremont resident when he died at an early age.
