Historical information

Programme for the 2008 Civic Dinner hosted by the City of Armadale. It was held in honour of Dr Noel Colyer, a prominent local doctor who played an important role in community health from the 1947 through to the 1980s. Dr Colyer was one of the first permanent resident doctor's to practice in the area. He operated out of a house on Brookton Highway in Roleystone called 'Darjeerling'.
In 1947 Dr Colyer came to Armadale and started a practice with Dr O'Brien on Jull Street. He was also the Deputy Commissioner of St John's Ambulance and was the president of the WA Branch of Australian Rheumatism Association. He later operated out of a house on Brookton Highway in Roleystone called 'Darjeerling'.
