Classic Sounds Orchestra (CSO) was formed in 2012 through the Classic Sounds Music Store in Kelmscott. The orchestra was an opportunity for music students and local musicians to be a part of an orchestra and perform at public events.
In 2015 the City of Armadale was a major sponsor of the CSO concerts at the Armadale District Hall. The orchestra included an ensemble of 30 musicians of a variety of ages, led by music teacher and violinist Rachel John.
The event was to launch the CSO to a higher level of public performance and create widespread community pride and well-being. Over 500 people attended the performance and were encouraged to dress in style to make the occasion more memorable.
