Overview

The charger is a length of thin white cable with a plug-in adaptor on either end. One is a wide, thin metal plug with a white plastic base. It has a small grey rectangular motif with a line through the centre on one side. The other is narrow but thicker, also fitting into a white plastic base with a grey three pronged motif on one side.

Historical information

Released in 2008, the iPhone 3G was a widely anticipated model after the wildly successful iPhone. It was twice as fast and half the price. Apple Inc. was founded in 1976 and found its first successes with the Apple and Macintosh computers. However, they faced stiff competition from heavyweights like IBM and Microsoft. It was not until the launch of the first iPhone in 2007 that Apple cemented its industry lead. The iPhone was a game changer. It laid the foundation for the modern smartphone and its significance cannot be underestimated. It forever changed the way humans interacted with technological devices and with each other.
This phone was owned by Christen Bell who worked at the City of Armadale and used the phone for personal and work related phone calls and taking photographs between c2009 and 2013.
