PERSONAL REFLECTIONS PREFECTS’ CAMP - ’82
On arrival in Mandurah, spirits high, we gathered our belongings and preceded to our allocated units. After our nutritious meal supplied by the Mandurah Pizza Parlour we made our way to the High School gymnasium for activities which came as a complete surprise.
The next morning in the neatly kept unit of the Prefect girls we munched our way through half a packet of Nutra Grain whilst drooling over the handsome, bronzed form of Grant Kenny on the packet (which resulted in multiple indigestion). The rest of the day was spent developing our natural leadership and co-operation skills.
Thursday was a day for relaxing which gave us a chance to utilize some of the facilities available.
That night we made our way to the Mandurah Skating Rink for a night full of entertainment. Nursing our bumps and bruises we celebrated Jacquie's birthday for half an hour before the teachers politely asked us to go to bed.
After a terrific three days we had already organised a reunion, amongst tearful goodbyes to our newly formed friends from Collie, Mandurah, Manjimup, Busselton, Newton Moore and Pinjarra.
