Overview

The image shows a grate manufactured by Metters. The design is very simple and functional: straight lines - and the manufacturer's name 'Metters' appears in the upper left hand corner of the overhead panel. It is set in an equally simple fireplace with straight plastered pillars and horizontal striations above. The photograph was used in promotional leaflets and advertisements in magazines and newspapers.
