PHOTOGRAPH: METTERS' FACTORY - ENAMELLING PROCESS (BATHS)
1965Black and white photograph showing two Metters' baths in the process of being enamelled. In the foreground at lower right there is a bath resting on a trolley and in the background (left) another bath held by means of a forklift and being either lifted off or positioned on to an adjustable cradle. This cradle could turn, and be belted, to allow excess enamel to run off. The door of the oven (muffle) is raised. A sign to its left reads: 'Switch off small compressor.' Metters' new enamelling works were completed in time for their 70th anniversary in Western Australia.
One of a number of photographs relating to Metters' Ltd activities.
