PHOTOGRAPH: METTERS' WORKER ENAMELLING BATH

1965
Overview

Black and white photograph showing a Metters' worker wearing a mask adding enamel powder on to a bath by means of a long-handled sieve. The bath has already been coated with enamel and fired. It is lying on a tilted cradle next to the furnace and a heap of enamel powder has collected under the cradle and on the adjoining grate. A poster advertising Metters' products in Western Australia is partly visible behind the head of the worker. Metters' enamelling plant was officially opened in 1965 on Metters' 70th anniversary in Western Australia.
