Overview

Burgundy vinyl covered photographic album entitled "West Toodyay Bridge 30 November 1988", containing photos of the event commemorated, and associated material.
The album relates to the opening of the West Toodyay Bridge on 30 November 1988, and includes a letter from Main Roads Commissioner Tognolini referencing the request from the Shire of Toodyay for the photos.
There are twelve photos in total relating to the event, showing the then minister for Transport R. Pearce speaking at the opening with members of the Toodyay Shire Council.
Also included is a fragment of ribbon from the event.
A notable figure is former Shire Councillor R. Somers, to whom the letter previously mentioned is addressed.
The photo themselves are slightly faded but in otherwise excellent condition.

Historical information

The photo album was sent to R. Somers as a member of the Shire Council, and from there eventually was stored in the Museum Workshop.
