Edward Davy was a Toodyay Shire Councillor 1961-1968 and previously a member of the Toodyay Road Board 1945-1961 and Chairman 1953-1960.

Historical information

Edward Davy was born in Fremantle, and died in Floreat Park, WA; There is a rose memorial to him at Karrakatta Cemetery, Perth, WA.
Ted Davy’s father bought the ‘Woodlands’ property in Nunile in 1927. Ted Davy served in the Army Citizen Military Forces during World War 2, and he inherited ‘Woodlands’ in 1946.
In 1966, Ted was awarded a long service award for continuous local government service from April 1945, with 13 years as either Chairman or Deputy President. He was also the President of the Toodyay Golf Club.
