TOODYAY ROAD AND SHIRE COUNCILLOR IAN MURRAY
1953 - 1961Black & white photo of Toodyay Road Board Member and Shire Councillor Ian Vincent Murray dressed in suit with stripes, white shirt and tie RSL badge at left lapel. Ian Murray has small moustache.
Ian Murray (1915-1992) was a Shire of Toodyay Councillor from 1961 - 1983 and previously a member of the Toodyay Road Board from 1953-1961. He served as Shire President from 1971 - 1982.
Comparing Mr. Murray's age in this photograph to later dated photographs in the Shire of Toodyay's collection, it is likely this portrait was commissioned during his Road Board tenure.
