Historical information

Born in Clerkenwell, London, England in 1902, Alfred Pedder died in Victoria Park, Perth, WA in 1987.
In 1939, Alf Pedder was an Executive Officer in Woolwich, England. He emigrated in 1949, by himself, to Melbourne. His wife and three daughters followed.
In 1951, Alf started work as Secretary of the Mt. Magnet Road Board, having come from the Plantagenet Road Board. He moved on to the Marradong Road Board (south of Boddington), then arrived in Toodyay in April 1954, as Secretary-Engineer. After his seven years in Toodyay, he moved on to Esperance and Ravensthorpe, retiring as Shire Clerk in 1976.
