Dallas Ludemann was a member of the Toodyay Road Board from 1946-1961 and Chairman from 1960 to 1961. Then he was a Shire Councillor from 1961-1971 and Shire President 1961-1969. In 1966, Dallas was award a local government long service award for continuous service from April 1946 with 12 years as either Deputy President or President.
Dallas Ludemann was born in Boulder in 1904 and died in Booragoon, WA in 1987.
Dallas and his family moved from Boulder to a new property ‘Fernlea’ at Wattening in 1906. He followed his parents lead in his civic, church and sporting engagements.
Dallas was also a member of the Toodyay Freemasons Lodge from 1926 and Worshipful Master and served as their organist for 60 years. Dal and his wife Val farmed the families’ ‘Paisley’ property then ‘Glendearg’ until they retired to Perth.
