LIMERICK, FACE COVER, BABY
An example of a decorative accessory which was used to lightly cover a baby’s face to protect it from insects, particularly when outdoors.
A Square shape of white machine net has elongated corners with a design of solid leaves and fuschia-like flowers with fillings of needlelace with a scalloped edge. The central oval shape which would cover the face is free of embroidery.
