Overview

A beautiful jacket which is embroidered all over, from the scroll at the neckline down to the hem. It was described as ‘triple embroidered Islamic jacket’. This could refer to the variety of work included on the piece. The back ground is entirely filled with a small squiggly chain stitch. The leaves are embroidered in orange and mauve satin stitch and centres of the ;flowers’ have copper square purl applied near the centre. The overall effect is stunning.
