To my dear Wife on her 39th Birthday / from her loving husband Jim. Oct 17th 1926. / Fear not the years they bring you better dreams / Spring lingers on and Winter shorter seems / Though the autumn's mellow Summer still keeps young / And each year is better if your heart keeps young / Fear not the years they new gifts will bring / Laugh for that makes music and love will help to sing / Contentment, peace, and happiness is what the years should bring / you wont miss the hapiness of the good deed you have done, / And you'll sure escape the sorrows of the bad ones left undone, / You'll be happy growing older if you let your heart keep young, / -to my 30 year old sweetheart.'
