CASH REGISTER: NATIONAL BRAND, 1903

Silver metal cash register sitting on a wooden base.

The cash register is still fully operational and the press keys and the cash drawers still opens with a ringing bell.

b) set of three rusted silver keys on a ring with a metal tag. Two keys are marked 'NATIONAL'. The label is marked 'K.WOULFE. N.C.R. CO'. (stored on museum key rack in office)

Historical information

The National Cash Register was created in the late 19th century with the brass plate indicating service history from 1885 to 1892.

The cash register is still fully operational and the press keys and the cash drawers still opens with a ringing bell.

This item was acquired by John Kevin Woulfe who was a National Cash Register salesman in the 1950s and purchased by the museum in 2025 to suppliment the story of corner stores and shopping in Subiaco.
