Overview

Vertical grey-cream postcard with a cyclical image of grass shaded by dense greenery. There are six people in hats on the right hand side and two figures on the far left. Above the picture is a pale pink ribbon banner which reads 'BIRTHDAY GREETINGS' in red. Around the image is a white border at the bottom of which reads: 'A Happy Retreat.' in red.

The bottom section of the postcard has been cut away, such that the writing on the reverse is partly missing. The top corners are stubbed and there is a tear along the right long edge. A cut pertrudes diagonally from the centre right of the severed edge.

The reverse has a red stamp with a swan which reads 'WESTERN AUSTRALIA / POSTAGE ONE PENNY' in the top right corner. The hand written message is cut off on the left edge. The card is addressed to 'Mr J Dennis / Loco shops / Midland Junct-' on the right hand side. Postmark inscription: '1015 -2 ??'
