JACK PLANE BLADE
1926 - 1938Rectangular piece of flat metal, the square end has been bevelled to form a cutting edge while the upper has the sides tapering toward the top.
The blade is used within the jack plane for woodwork use.
Tools used by Charles Duncan in his Blacksmith and Wheelright shop. The shop was called Duncan & McNamee and was located on the corner of Jull Street and Third Road. It was open from 1926-1938. The blade is used within the jack plane for woodwork use.
Bergs Aust Tools were known for the manufacturing of woodwork planes, tools and carpenter tools, skis and mouldings. They made planes from the late 1940s to mid 1950s.
