Overview

Long, thin rectangular metal blade attached at right angles to a wooden handle by three rivets and two triangulated copper plates. The wooden handle has brass facing on the inside edge .Try squares are used to measure 90 degree angles in woodwork.

Historical information

Tools used by Charles Duncan in his Blacksmith and Wheelright shop. The shop was called Duncan & McNamee and was located on the corner of Jull Street and Third Road. It was open from 1926-1938. Try squares are used to measure 90 degree angles in woodwork.
