Historical information

The Alfred Meakin company operated between 1875 - 1976. The Royal Flying Corps badge on the lid features a King's Crown which dates it to before 1952. The Royal Flying Corps became the Royal Air Force in late 1918. This piece may have been produced after that time as a souvenir.
