BEAD WORK, TEA COSY
Beaded tea cosies were very typical of the Victorian era where there was an increase in the amount of embroidery done in the home from patterns. This design featurs a lilly , surrounded by foliage, Forget Me Not purple flowers and an unusual architectural detail around the edge. Between the two is red cross stitch. The beadwork is not terribly fine with 8 beads per inch. The whole tea cosy is finished with a cord.
