c. 1980 - 1989Accepted as an authentic example of Indian embroidery on sandals pre-2000.
A thin layer of leather has an embroidered top glued to cover. The embroidered ‘T’ shaped section has 3 shi sha mirrors held in place with brightly coloured floss. Triangular patterned satin stitch in pink, green, white and black on red cotton/velvet stitch in multi coloured thread surround the whole strap section (toe thong or strap).
