GENERAL EMBROIDERY, TEA CLOTH

Overview

Accepted as a fine example of early 20th C European table linen worked by a good needlewoman as part of her bottom drawer.
It has a flower and leaf design worked in a monochrome brown/beige on cream linen. The central motif has leaves scrolls and floral bunches. Similar motifs surround including larger corner groups. A Bedfordshire lace border measures 70mm deep and appears not made to measure.
