GATE KEY

Overview

Large, heavy metal gate key. Thick, cylindrical, 8mm diameter metal shaft with a wide key flag protruding from one end. Welded across the opposite end at a right angle is a thick, cylindrical, 8mm diameter metal rod, forming a large 'T' shape.

Historical information

Metal key for the gate lock at the Gatekeeper's Lodge, possibly located at number 12 The Terrace.

Removed by Alex Stuart on 01/01/1981 and relocated to the Museum safe.
