Ceremonial EPNS trowel presented to the Premier of NSW 6.4.29

c. 1929
Overview

Electro plated nickel silver (EPNS) trowel presented to the Premier of NSW, the Honourable T.R. Bavin, K.C., M.L.A. when he laid the foundation stone for the Nurses Home at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney on 6 April 1929.
The trowel is decorative, with a striped border and ornate filagree motifs. It is engraved with details of the event. It presumably had a handle at some point, perhaps made from timber.
