Trinket box associated with the Ascot Military Hospital in Berkshire
c. 1918Oval shaped metal two piece trinket box relating to the 4th Voluntary Aid Detachment from the Ascot Military Hospital in Berkshire. It is very shiny and has a rose coloured tint. There is a contrasting silver coloured rope decoration around the bottom of the base and the top of the lid.
The lid is engraved with ' Berks 4 V.A.D., a Red Cross symbol, 'Ascot Military Hospital' and a date.
It came with a brass and copper trench art letter opener knife.
